    Has anyone used this? anyone used the "auto neck cleaning" attachment? Just looking for feedback as I decide between this and a reef octo diablo series

    I have the 150 and so far it seems to be doing a great job. Once I got the water height dialed in the skimmate is nice and dark. Pulls a ton out with only a super light bio load on the tank.

    The auto cleaning attachment works great. I am happy with it. I would make sure not to run the unit for more than 1 minute because it does tend to get hot and I would hate for the motor to burn out. I am using it on a vertex omega skimmer and it cleans well. Easy to assemble and use.

    The red on the reef octopus is slightly different than the Vertex red. It may look a little funny that the colors dont match perfectly. If youre going with the Vertex get the Vertex brand cleaner.

    This device seems excessive but it keeps me from having to clean the skimmate cup as often because the inner neck is always clean. I run my unit 4 times a day to make sure DOS dont build on the neck.
