Long time since I have been on - just not at the computer as much since the job promotion :)

After a year of debate and an aquarium upgade (180 mixed reef) I finally ditched my t5's for a vertex illumllux led (3 foot and 2 foot) over a 6 foot.
First impressions - WOW! looks amazing. I replaced a 6 bulb t5 system with the vertex system. The reason for the change #1 replacing bulbs #2 look #3 growth over all.

I did this b/c a friend of mine also has a 180 mix ( with more sps) with this same system for a year. Everything seems to be great with growth on the sps (top of the tank)

That being said - the tank is not as bright - but has far better diffusion of light (everything is lit)

My aquarium only has two sps Porites Coral (jewel coral) and an acro - at the top of the tank (5 inches from water line) rest are lps with two open brains on the bottom) i lta on the bottom one bubble tip half way.

Does anyone have info on the par ratings on this? and or real reviews (not the vertex sell sheet)
Will this be enough or will I still have to supplement with t5's

    Thanks
