It started out on the reef tank. Now, its a personal database that I am updating as I find more skimmers. Its a Google Docs spreadsheet that I haven't figured out how to let anybody look at it without being able to edit it and I don't want that.

This is the information it has in it:

    Skimmer (Model Name)
Text Description: Short Description of the skimmer
Picture URL: URL to a picture of the skimmer
    Manufacturer: Manufacturer Name
    Skimmer Location: HOB, Internal, External
    Recirc/Non-recirc: Ricirc skimmer or not.
    Height: Height of the skimmer
Bioload: Max Bioload as rated by the MFR.
Brand: Brand Name of the skimmer
Body Diameter: Diameter of the reaction chamber of the skimmer
Footprint: Footprint of the skimmer, as given by MFR.
Water level Adjustment: Gate Valve, Expansion Coupling, other. What method it uses to control water level in the skimmer.
Air Injection: Beckett, Venturi, Downdraft, Air driven, etc.
Pump: If it comes with one, what pump it comes with.
Pump Wattage: Wattage draw of the pump (if it comes with one).
Impeller Type: Paddlewheel, Needlewheel, Pinwheel, Meshwheel.
Manual URL: URL to manual for it (for the ones I can find)

On TRT, at the top there is a Comparison Shopping tab. If you look at the skimmers, you can sort them. The sort feature uses this database to know the dimensions and to sort it. The TRT database ha ~160 or so skimmers. Since then, I have updated my own copy and its now up to ~290 or so and I know of at least 40-50 more that I have to add. Then whatever I find after that.

I would do that for ya but then my cat wouldn't have anything to curse at, making the avatar just a cute little boring kitty.

That screenshot is 2900 pixels wide and 420 pixels high. I hope I attached it right. I had to do two screen shots to get it all on there. It should show 3 lines of it, MRC skimmers (Thats what I was working on at the time). My hopes are to turn the picture URL field into an actual image of the skimmer, depending on hot linking issues. If I wouldn't get sued, I would simply download all the images and host them myself so that the images are there.

As it stands now, there are 290 skimmers listed. Still a lot more to add as I go. No cones listed yet. A few others that I know about that I still haven't gotten listed yet. I have another database that is Calcium Reactors but it isn't nearly as long. Only about 70 so far.
