Vertex or Reef Octopus

    Which would you get and why? looking at less then 300 bucks.

    I currently have a Vertex on my 55 that I LOVE and am looking to get one for my bigger tank INS-180? not sure which reef octo would compare

    I have the In-100 on my 75 gallon and it is rocks. I love it. I had the Reef Octo 4" before and the Vertex just kills it. How big is the bigger tank?

    Anything other than the RO. I had the worst experience with one, so much so that it had to be replaced under warranty (body and pump, due to cracking body and failed motor) within months and still didn't work right.

    I know tons of people use them here and love them, but I can honestly say it was the worst thing I have ever bought for my reef.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Same here. Reef Octo. come highly recommended but I had nothing but trouble from mine. Had to replace parts several times until the thing just totally crapped out after not even two years. I gave up and bought a different brand.

    I've heard Vertex are fabulous!!

    its a 100 gallon tank. I have the 100 on my other tank and love it, thinking the 180 on this one
