ok so i got this rock like a yr ago and had it iin my fuge for the last 6months during this time i noticed 2 small different corals emerge, dont know how they got there but any who at first they were tiny specs, then they grew into what i could only describe as one being a lps of some type and some sorta softie polyp like star polyps, anthilia, ect..not so uncommon, as they grew i decided to frag the end of the rock that the corals were on and put them in my display to grow. in the last week the encrusting coral was finally big enough to get a clear shot and it def looks like a sps some sort encrusting acro or something.

the color has become a bright green and tan with patterns with like sparkly white and green polyps .

please if you got any idea what ither of these are please give me a shot out. i added some extra pics for your time.

lol some people have are the luck. alot of people have trouble getting acros to live in their tank, and bluephish can grow one out of no where lol. its like super coralline algae. why have coralline algae when you can have coralline acro. i think you can start a whole new fad.

thats what i thought when i just seen it up close for the first time, had those nubby lil polyp spouts or whatever they are. lol .

is there such a thing as encrusting acro, or do you think it will begin to build skeleton upward.

    nm stupid question.lol

Acropora Efflorescens possibly. Its to small to know for sure. All Acro's encrust, but some are encrusting only. With it being so small, its just to hard to tell. Its definetly an Acropora though, you can tell by the polyps and structure.

still requires flash player to look at it, which i dont have and cannot get for some reason, but it does look like an acro of some kind, i would start fragging that puppy, who knows you could make a killer profit.
