    Hi,

I am very confused on what is going wrong...

My 40G tank readings are as follows,

pH - 8.1 (very stable now)
    Kh - 21  :(
    Ca - 200 :(

What am i doing wrong? I am using instant ocean..Dont use kalk...Only use seachem marine buffer to raise the buffer while replacing water...

I tried using Seachem reef complete and trying to raise the calcium by adding 2 caps daily but calcium isnt increasing and even if it does it is dropping very fast

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Bring your calcium up slowly. Just use a calcium supplement that has no other trace elements. Purely ca.

Try using Parts A/B and test for magnesium and supplement appropriately after testing.

I would order the 2 part kit from bulk reef supply to get your magnesium/Calcium/and ALK in line. It is really good stuff, simple to use, and not too expensive. Once you get your ca up to like 400 your alk will come down. I had this same problem, and using the bulk reef supply stuff did the trick for me.

That is very high ALK. Once you start dosing calcium it will begin to use up the alkalinity and lower it as it is used. I also use the Bulk Reef Supply additives for CAL, MAG, and ALK. Awesome product

Yes, I would just do salt mix with RO/DI. You always want to do the water change, test all params and then dose accordingly. Once you have the levels where you want them, figure out how much is being used weekly and you'll then know what you need to dose per day to keep your levels consistant. Hope this helps

Anything you do you have to do slowly or problems will arise. Me I would start with regular dosing measurements on the bottle first. Re-test later in the day or evening and dose again with the suggested amount if need be.
