yeah i believe mp10 esw. they cost a quite a bit of money. see things like that is what im not understanding. i bought those mp's he told me i need them. i bought the night light icecap led retro kit. he just keeps telling me i need this and that and i dont know why? he does all work and no explaining. i just wanna know from others that everything is setup correctly and im heading in the right direction and i dont go spending a bunch more money for nothing. and i dont know the names of any of my inhabitants? and did he put my tank together tooo fast for his pocket benefit? from all my reading on this site i thought this is all suppose to be a slow process

If you go to liveaquaria.com and look under heading of

    Zoanthids

    LPS, large polyp corals.

    Fish

    Gorgonians

    You will find most IDs.

Yes vortech are expensive but they are great.

This guy at the LFS, is he an employee? It sounds like you were taken advantage of, quite a bit. It's almost like it's his tank with he things he wants, but in your wallet. lol.

I have to say, your stand & canopy are beautiful & your tank is doing pretty good. I see now, it's an in-wall tank. Nice. But it was a good idea to join a forum, so you know what you are getting yourself into.

Vortechs are basically top of the line for powerheads. They sure are quality, but there are certainly less expensive brands that do just as good a job. Hydor, who makes the koralias, is one of them.

Wow !!...is everything automated? I see auto-dosing & those vortechs are on wavemakers/controlers.

i dont think i have auto dosing??? like i keep saying this guy says i need this i have been at his mercy and been saying ok. i def. dont want anything to go wrong so i assume that whatever he tells me to get i really do need as i dont want to fail myself so i so go ahead with it. all i really do is feed fish and thats it. he does everything else for me. he is here a couple times a week and i dont even kow why

    :-/ That's unfortunate he's doing this.

That black box/controller ino the right(ish) corner of the 1st picture I posted appears to be an auto-doser, for dosing clacium/magnesiumfor corals) or other trace elements. calc or mag are the most likely though. You have a few corals in there. Did yo pick those out or was that his doing as well?

    You're buying some fancy stuff(equipment-wise).

good looking tank. whille the equipment is a little on the expensive side, looks like you have an "amazing" first set up. A lot of room to grow into. one thing i would advise is to maybe ask your service guy to slow down a bit on the coral selection. keep doing reaserch and pick your own stuff out. thats the fun part and you will learn a lot along the way
