    Hi,

I have two common clown fish, a regal tang and a cleaner shrimp which have been getting on really well for the last six months.

My tang developed hole in the head which I have been treating but still apears to be poorly. Yesterday i came home to find that one of my clowns is viciousely attacking the tang and will not let him come out of his hole in the rock. As soon as he appears to feed or swim around the clown goes straight for him and gets him in a corner and continues to attack him - they have never done this before. He has large marks on his side where they have been attacking him and I am really worried that they will seriousely damage him if not kill him??

Please can you give me some advise as to what to do or any suggestions.

Ps I have moved the rocks around in the tank slightly to try and reestablish therre territory but they dont appear to have noticed????

You may want to separate the Clowns and the Tang via divider or different tank before something worse developes!

Sounds like to me you have a mated pair of clowns ? and as for the tang feed it raw broccoli all it will eat leave it clipped in the tank 24/7 . it may take the fish a few days to start to peck at the broccoli and learn what it is but once it does then it will clean it out. Has a great shelf life in the system last days with little to no braking down unlike the lettuce and little algae sheets people use . Best thing I have ever found for the Lateral Line .. Also look for any stray voltage leading cause and if it was healthy when you got it ? then the clowns could also be inducing enough stress to cause this problem..

    Hi

They are False Percula clowns and they have been displaying signs of mateing for a while but they have never attacked the Tang before or shown any signs of agrression (Other than the usual too each other during the mating ritual) ??? I could seperate them with a divider but there "home" is right next to the tangs rock if I move this around will this upset them?

I will try the broccoli - thanks. The tang hasnt lost his appetite so hopefully he will take too it pretty quickly. . I have checked the voltage and all is ok, along with the levels - Someone suggested an RO dip but I dont want to stress him out anymore than needs be?
