I have these really tiny, like 1/8'', snowflake looking things on my glass right now. There are about 15 of them on my side glass and I am just wondering what they are....I cant get a picture of them because they are too small for my phone camera to focus on them.

Any ideas of what they are and if they are good/bad?!?

Is the tank fairly new? From your description it sounds like hydroids (baby jellyfish). If it is they should soon die & disappear, no big worry. Tough to say exactly without a pic.

The tank is not new...was 3+ yrs old when I inherited it and I've had it for a while now too.

They do kinda look like that reefmonkey...but not on any rocks that I can see. That almost looks like an aiptasia but I dont think they are aiptasia...they dont have any stem to them.

They are flat, just like a snowflake.

Those aren't aip's, they are one of the feathery hydroids but I can't remember the latin or common name. I used to have some that looked similar on the glass but those have all disappeared. Google hydroid images.

Def hydroids. I just found them myself a few weeks ago. General consensus is that they are harmless and will starve off. There are a few kinds tho. Def look into exactly which ones you have.
