VHO Lighting ?

    Does anybody know if there is any truth to the buzz that VHO's are going to be discontinued???? :confused: :confused:

    they r gona be discontinued because there is gona ba a VHO 2 or somthing like that, a new "better" bulb, there was a thread a while back about this

    The T12 size lamp, which VHO is one, is dying out. For industial and commercial applications T8 and T5 have been coming on for years because they are more efficient and less environmentally unfriendly. The aquarium lighting trade is hardly a blip on the radar of the overall lighting industry so unless there are other types of applications for T12 size lamps they are going away. Just a matter of how long they will be financially viable to produce.
