Decided to go with the VHO 4 bulb setup. I am concidering the Icecap 440 ballast running 4 110w 3 actinics and 1 10,000k bulbs. I have received prices from 300 to 350.00. Does this seem right or does someone know of anywhere cheaper. The price includes mounts, bulbs, ballast and reflector.

What do you guys and gals think?

IMO, I wouldn't pay that much for a flourescent setup. For that price, you can get a way better retrofit kit here -> www.hamiltontechnology.com

rickzter went to the site and can not find anything in that price range that would be better than VHO for $300.00. MH & compact i would want a hood just because of the ease and would have to suspend it over my tank due to my canopy setup.

    any help would be appreciated!
