I was on another website GARF.ORG and they use vho bulbs in shop lights to light the coral tanks they have.
    1)Does anybody else do this
    2)Why can't you
3)What is the harm in trying?

    Thanks

Yes you can do that I myself have used them But you are limited in tank depth I'd rather have 2 sets of VHO's myself.. I ran a many reefs with VHO's and they did very very well. Now that being said you can get a T 6 set up cheap and you can get T 5's a bit pricey and I really don't have much nice stuff to say about them I really don't see where they are all that great have 2. 48 in 54 x 6 and they just don't impress me for coloration and coral growth not anymore then the T6 that cost a whole whole lot less .

VHOs also have a cool dimmer option for sun up/down transitions.
