I had that problem. I'll assume you're not using RO/DI water, neither do I. I just added Seachem Phosguard in a mesh sock and tossed it into the canister filter with the charcoal. I kept up on siphoning the sand bed, and it was eventually completely gone after just 4-5 weeks. Test your phosphate and nitrate levels. Don't over-do your lighting- no more than 8-10 hrs a day max.

feeding? some/most foods do contain some amount of phosphates, which the cyano will thrive on. Cut light back by a couple hours, and cut feeding back to help reduce nitrates and phosphates. I'm not saying starve the fish, but if they are really fat and happy, you could cut back some. get your water tested for phos and nitrates. you already have control over your lighting, and using a powerstrip with a timer will help.
Here's the old thread about it.

it's the ViaAqua p.o.s. causing it. I had one when I first started my tank. Great idea but they didn't follow thru with the greatness when they designed it. I never could get it to do much of anything, more than just filter(with the little filter) or water mover. Then I bought a Jebo(Junko) Then I bought the SeaClone100(another p.o.s.) SOMEBODY stop me LOL Now I have the AquaC Remora and LOVE IT! It pulls out some really nasty looking stuff! They should pay me for so many reccomondations that I've given.

i have the cpr bak pak (from marine depot)i was not using it but it seems to be like the remora (no to sure though) do you think i would be better to s can the via aqua and run the bak pak or just 86 both and go to something better seems maybe the skimming might have a impact on my cyano outbrake
