Mac is becoming more and more active as he has settled into his new home. I had to go and buy baby toys for him to keep him stimulated. One thing I read was to make him work for his food a little...make him think how to get it...so I placed a emerald crab in a little cheap tippy cup that all he had to do is pull the lid off (Easily can be pulled off...not twisty) so tried that today. The crab is still in there but I did feed him before that.

I also placed baby links in the tank and they float up. And then the ball is one of his favorites

I did add a damsel to see if he would eat it or even to just chase around a little

I have also left the hamster ball in there for now...maybe to climb over ???

    very kul dude.

Were you the one that had the thread about the disappearing octo and the LFS got you a replacement one (even though you didn't ask)?

If it was you (I get confused on who posts what), what happened there? Did you ever find the remains or anything or is this the same octo rediscovered?

(BTW - videos only embed when they're on youtube)

In the first video he changes his chromatophores VERY slightly. You ought to try and get a video of him changing colors as most people have never seen that before.

here is a video that shows off some of his chromatophores! He is blending into the rock as we stick our hand in the tank

that is not the light changing...he is turning completely white. I am going to get a checker board this weekend and tape it to his tank

He did take some krill tonight...so hopefully I can get him to eat that some so I dont have to feed live all the time
