Any real benefit to this? I've had some time off lately and have been reading a lot. Been coming across this today in a few articles. Anyone else use it?

Just drink orange juice. There's plenty of vitamin C in that.

All I can say is that prior to using Galic and VitC for a food soak, I had many problems with Ich.

Now, I use the Kent Garlic , and Vita Chem product a couple times a week and have been Ich free. " Knock On Wood"

Oh, and I dont like Pulp...

I've only read about using Vitamin C for zoanthids but since I don't keep them, I'm not sure of the benefits. Maybe Geeky will pop in and offer some info.

Ive heard of people dosing like 200 - 4000mg of vitamin c, but nothing with a noted improvement that was replicated. The cases I know about was when there was a problem with them, and vitamin c was used to boost immunities which showed signs of working for 2-3 weeks, but that was all.

The best thing for zoa's is proper tank parameters skimmerless. Zoa's like dirty water to a point. That yellow tinge tanks get from time to time is actually great for zoanthids. (cant think of the fancy german name, Im sure CR will know it). Some palys (true palys not zoanthus sp people call palys) have marked improvement target feeding with cyclopeeze.

Theres a member on 3reef who couldnt keep zoa's, not mentioning no names (cough** ardo **cough). In his case, his tank was too clean, there were no nutrients in the water for them to feed on, beautiful SPS though.

I really need to write an article about zoa's and palys for the newb.
