Vlamingi Vs. Unicorn

    Just wondering if Unicorn tangs and Vlamingi tangs are the same thing? I've seen the same fish at two different stores one called Unicorn the other Vlamingi...?

    I don't believe they are the same, but maybe its male female? I'm not actually really sure.

    No, they are not. They are similar though. Vlamingi tang (Naso vlamingi) will have a less pronounced "bump" on the head, but tends to be more brightly colored. The Unicorn Tang (Naso unicornis) tends to be draber in color, but the "bump" will be MUCH more pronounced, often actually forming a "horn".
