My fish like only Titos vodka.

Happy hour twice a day, 7am and 4pm. 2ml each dose. So 4ml total per day on a 55g.

I think it definitely helps. Water clarity is the biggest difference, I have no idea what it does, but water is simply amazing and crystal clear.

I am still battling some bryopsis and hair algea, but with vodka they grow a ton slower.

No vodka for me but I have tried it. I have run gfo at one point and have since pulled that offline too. If you want clear water, carbon works wonders.. With a good skimmer and good husbandry there should be no nitrate at all.

I know a few that used to dose vodka, but switched to vinegar. It takes a bit more, which makes it easier to control and harder to OD.

Personally, I've never used either one... never needed it. Proper filtration and maintenance is usually all one needs unless you're using tap water, overstocked, or overfeeding.

I know this thread is a could of days old but when you dose vodka, you better make sure you have a good skimmer. If you don't have a nice enough skimmer to pull that bacteria out of the water, you are going to have a cloudy, cloudy tank and it will become more of a hassle than what it's worth.
