vortech mp10 wireless in a 34 solana

I wanted to increase the flow in my 34g and was looking into an mp 10 wireless. However, I saw that they redesigned the wireless component to make it work better. What were the problems before? Would I be better off just saving my money and just getting the non-wireless one? Right now I'm using the stock return and a koralia nano 240g (for a total of 636gph if the equipment is in top shape). This seems not to be enough for my clams which look to do better with stronger flow with the power head directed right at them, which leaves the critters on the bottom to get covered with all sorts of stuff. Any opinions?
