Vortex filters

    Can you use a Vortex filter to clean your tank? or will it take out all the live organisms in the tank also;stuff living in the live rock and sand?:-/​

    Are you talking about a diatom filter? If you are, we use one if/when we blast the detritus/algae off of our rock. It's not something that you want to run 24/7 on a reef tank though.

    Yes it would be, thank you. I was not sure if you could use it because of the live sand and rock. thanks again for the help.
