    Ya the LFS is trying to sell stuff. You dont need fish to cycle, can use a piece of shrimp from the grocrie store. Clowns are pretty hardy so he should be fine, just gonna be stressed out for awhile. Not sure about the hermit, inverts are sensitive.

    How big is your tank? How many blue legs do you have? How big is the clown? How much live rock do you have? Just some ?s And do you test your water params?

    I test water prams almost every 3 days somtimes it goes to 5 because of work. Clownfish is only about 2.5 inches, and only 2 blue legged hermits in a 55g tank with 45lbs of LR and 55Lbsof LS

    Well K+ on checking water once a week. very good idea. Sounds like a great tank i would definitaly buy 15 more blue legs and 15 scarlets, maybe a cleaner and 2 turbos. You have to get your tank like a little ecosystem. Well my cycle was a little but still finishing. I have a 5.5 gallon and my water changes were from my lfs's display tank. So about 3 water changes and adding water from buying the cuc helped and mine cycled quick.
