Im looking into starting a 55 Gallon tank, saltwater of coarse, i never had a saltwater tank before nor a tank this size. i just have a few questions:

Average cost to start tank ( not including cost of tank):

What would you recommend for pump filet, etc:

What fish go well in 55 gal:

    Any tips/pointers:

This is going to be a fish only tank (no live coral) just fish and decorative peices.

    Thanks,
    Antonio

I would say to get a 55 gallon up to a fowlr its going to cost about $400 minimum.. you need sand, rocks, filtration, lights, chemicals, test kits, not to mention fish..
for a filter I would go with a sump with some sort of filter inside of it, but that is my personal opinion. They do make pretty decent hang on back filters.. Look at marineland emperor series..
