want more blue. HELP!

    hey i want some more blue in my tank. as for not i have 2 led lamps that came with my aqueon evolve 4 kit. the light only has 4 blue leds so 8 in all. so i was wodering. is it ok if i just run the blues all the time only and not the 16 whites or so? or could you point me i a cheap way to add blues so my corals glow more?

    Hmm, you could maybe just put some electrical tape over some of the white leds to get a better color. This might cause heat issues tho. You could run just the blue lights

    I dont know alot about that light or tank, but I would think it should be okay unless your keeping high light sps. its 4 gallons right?

    PAR30 Reef Lamp

    You could always go with something like this with 3 royal blue, 1 neutral white, and 1 cool white.

    not lookin to drop that much. i thought maybe there was a cheap way to add blue.

    Not so much, not without buying a different light. At least not that I'm aware of. You could add a stunner strip, but youd spend almost that much anyway.

    whats you're budget? but if only for aesthetic purposes, you could add a few blue leds from ebay for about $20 but they're kinda crap, but do work, you'll need to add a power source and timer for them;)

    yeah im just trying to get the coral to glow! noting benificial is needed! would blue led car strips work?

    Rapidled 2 moonlight (under driven RB) kit, only use during the day for the extra "pop"

    i used two blue car led strips (there were two in the package) the they work fine for lighting up corals. i have them on my 100 gallon as moon lights. all you have to do is get an old cell phone charger for the plug (wolly wart) and splice the wires together they even come with sticky strips ont he back of them hope this helps
