I currently have 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 emerald crabs, snails, 3 clowns, 2 wrasses, and a firefish in my 60 gallon tank. I was thinking of adding another shrimp. I added a peppermint shrimp several months back, but never see him. What is the best type of shrimp to add to this setup knowing that I want one that has the visibility of the cleaner shrimp and won't be attacked by my other livestock or damage any corals? I could even do another cleaner shrimp, but wouldn't mind some more diversity.

I have added coral banded shrimp to a tank that has cleaner shrimp in with no issues
I have added blood shrimp to a tank with cleaner shrimp in with no issues

neither bothered anything in the reef
the CBS did the odd bit of pincer waving when anything went near it, including my hand
but other than that no problem

Do you ever see the blood shrimp? I've never heard of a peterson shrimp. What do those guys do?

Blood Shrimp are gorgeous ... and they seem to like to stay out more often than any other ... with the exception of the cleaners of course, who seem to hate hiding lol

Could I do a blood shrimp and a CBS? I like both but in researching I see that the blood shrimp hides a lot and the CBS can nip at corals. As long as the CBS wouldn't do any permanent damage, I am ok with that. Of those who have the blood shrimp, how often do you see these guys?

I don't have a blood personally, but my friend has two of them, and everytime I'm at his place ... the bloods are out front and center.

I've got cleaners and peps, cleaners out, peps hide ... but the peps serve a purpose, so they don't need to be visible lol ... if they keep eating aiptasia as it pops up ... they can hide as much as they want haha

I think I might do: 1 blood shrimp, 1 more cleaner, and 2 peppermint. I really like the CBS but I am worried that it will be too aggressive.

CBS will try to catch slower-moving fish, too. He tries to grab my banggai cardinal all the time, but the cardinal is an expert sprinter.

I had a CBS that was fairly large in a 24g nano and he didn't pick on any other tank mates. Not that I saw anyway, it might be one of those hit or miss things, but not always worth the risk.
