So... I've wanted to attempt coral for a while, just one ore two pieces.

All params are set... (not sure about magnesium, gotta figure that out before I attempt)

My current lighting is a Coralife Aqualight Dual Lamp High Output Fixture(T5) with 10,0000K Daylight and Actinic Blue Lamps, (each 54 watts)
    The tank is 120g.

My question is, Is my lighting acceptable for any coral?
Also, I have a Magnificent foxface and a Blueface Angel... But are reef "with caution."

Is there any chance of me being able to do any coral of any kind :(?

Also, On the flow, My tank has a flow rate with filtration and power heads of around 1070 gph... if that helps?

Thats no enough light for most corals to be honest other then softies and some zoas....id try some Green star polyps or a leather coral to begin with and go from there

There really is no rule any more, you want at least 4 t5 bulbs over a 120 6 would be ideal

My old lighting fixture could sit aside, and run along with the new one, Would that help or hinder?

Check out my "Corals for Dummy" thread. There's a list of good starter corals on there.

    I'm trying to start, too!
