I've had to clean cyano off my tank and sand like 3x a month for forever. I pretty much gave up on the rock and just started doing the sand. I've tried both phosban and phosguard, and a combination of both. I have a skimmer, a hob (just with carbon and the phosphate removers) a koralia nano, and a rotating power head rated for a 50 gallon tank so I thought they would be enough..... Well yesterday my tank got really hot, 84 degrees, and the rotating started to make a weird noise and I assumed they were related. Not wanting to take any chances I strolled over to a LFS looking for another pump. I picked myself up a Koralia 1 for 30 bucks and boy I cannot be happier! Half of the cyano on the rocks is gone overnight!!!! I also picked up a decent sized torch coral for $5 so I might even go back later and get another to see if I can get my clown in my other tank to host it. I'll put picks up of the difference when my lights kick on and everyone comes out to play.

    Congrats on your algae!

Regarding the torch, your clown may just irritate it to the point that it will stay closed. That happened to me and others on here, and I had to shuffle my corals. Now it hosts in a long tentacled plate coral that is much more tolerant.

Ive been getting cyano lately.. sucked it up and back again today.. I'll have alot of flow.. so im cutting back my daylights from 9hrs a day to 6 hrs. just to see if that works. still running actinics though 12hrs+. my t5 daylight bulbs are only 6-7 months old. but going to get a blue+ bulb soon. I hoping less daylight spectrum will cut back on cyano. I have a 10k, 12k on t5 fixture, will get rid of the 10k first. will try this soon..
