The goby pair won't be a problem. The mandarin will be iffy it will decide to continue eating other foods in your tank. I do like the LFS trading back if you do have feeding problems with the mandarin. Your call on the mandarin.

The pair wouldn't bother anything in the tank? Of the three fish, which would be best to add first? The LFS doesn't have a mandarin I like right now (his is HUGE and I'd like a younger one if I got one), so there's still time. The shrimp/goby pair is rather cool though. Perhaps the clowns will realize they can pair with a certain something in the tank as well hahaha. I worry that the shrimp will dig out under my rock work if I got it.

I have blue chromis (cromis). They school and are quite active. Kind of neon/greenish/blue. Very managemeable and dossile.

So debating an orange spot goby and paired shrimp today. Will it work with aragonite sand?

As long as your rock is on the tank bottom you should be OK. If it is fine sand there might be a problem as the burrow will most likely keep collapsing. If the shrimp decides to burrow under the rocks then the tunnel will probably be OK.

I have "mushed" the rocks deep into the sand bed so they should be close to the rocks. How much space will the pair need?

I'm just hoping it's a spot that works for me lol. I.e. Not the back of the tank or under the brain coral

LOL, I know what you mean. I have seen a few threads about them being in a spot that that they can hardly be seen. Good luck.

Any way I can "seed" them to where I want them? I figure the shrimp may just hop to work if I place it where it may like
