The new H1 HOB protein skimmer from Warner Marine will be shipping to stores on November 2nd and looks to have several improvements with the bubble plate, a wider neck and hanging bracket. Warner Marine has also squeaked some more LPH out of the Sedra 2500 pump. This looks to be one nice hang-on-back skimmer for $239. If you are looking at HOB skimmers and have an aquarium less than 60 gallons, take note. More pics inside.

    great looking unit IMO
    18 tall x 8 x 3.75 - that would fit nicely behind my 4ft

If I was in the market for a HOB..... this would be one to put on the list of possibilities

There have been a lot of folks waiting on this. Hopefully they will not be disappointed.

I like the design. I wonder if it will be loud. I hear people complain about the Octopus HOB being kind of noisy.

The dimensions are slightly different than the current H1 that you posted. However, they didn't have them handy yesterday. I will try to track them down today.

    THIS JUST IN:

It's 3.5" deep, 7.75" long and 18-20" tall depending on how far extended
    the collection cup is.

It comes with an air silencer now too.
