I wouldn't risk it... they typically aren't kept with fish.. the angler may camouflage itself for a while but i think once the octopus spotted it it would be gone. I know of a couple people on here who directly have experience with them..maybe they can give you more information

no, no no way! One or the other will be eaten. I have had both...anglers do not think there is anything that they can not eat (Read an article that one ate a bamboo shark and died from this) and octopus will snag whatever they can see fish wise

that's what i thought i know anglers have bigger eyes the stomachs i just thought if the angler was big enough when i got him and if i got a dwarf octopus that the octo would be just a little to smart to get caught and i didnt think that the octo would eat fish i thought they liked crustacean

honestly...nothing! I have seen from my LFS them trying to put other things in the tank with an angler....including 2 anglers together. Well, the next day the smaller angler was big and bloated and the second angler was missing! I ended up buying the second angler the next day...and well...it could not digest the other one!

Again, just to give you an idea of how aggressive these fish are.....this story was in Coral last year or so. This reef guy got an angler in and was making room for it in another tank. So he placed it in with a 6 to8 "bamboo shark. He walked away and was doing something and came back and found this angler with a shark tail hanging out of his mouth...he couldnt get it down for a day or so. The angler died a couple days later due to not being able to swallow
