Can someone tell us what exactly this is? I thought it was a Tamrin but upon looking him up online I haven't been able to see another picture of a wrasse that looks like him... He seems happy though and no bullying is going on at all - we just want to know what he is now LOL.

    Thanks in advance!

It is a Coris Wrasse, Coris formosa.

Edit...maybe not. Looked like it in one pic, but not in another.

    Not reef safe.

You think so? I have juvenile coris wrasses in another tank and this doesn't even look like an adult one. This one has different color and markings.

I'm sticking with it. I would guess it is going from juvi to adult.

    Here's a better shot of it I think - I can't find a similar fish anywhere.

I think you are right with that Atticus. Looks exactly like the adult. We don't have much of a reef in that aquarium but we do have some button polyps and mushrooms. He doesn't seem to be messing with them at all yet though. Sometimes it works out good and sometimes it sucks when the LFS miss labels something. Hopefully he will work out! Thanks all for your help!
