I'm looking for a pump that I could use to bring water up from my basement to the first floor of my house, when I need to do a water change.

I've been looking at a Sureflo RV pump, 2088-422-444. I like the idea that when it gets up to 40 psi it auto-turns off.

Anyone tried anything similar or know of a better way to do it? Thanks!

I use what's called a 5 gal home depot bucket and the stairs :). But to answer your question, I have no idea. At the least, this will bump your post for ya.

Similar to the marine use in boats for wash downs or freshwater systems. I just don't know how they will hold up in saltwater use. I'd check with mfg. Good idea though. I'm caught in a similar problem, but my refuge/sump is in the basement & looking at 13ft of head not counting elbows or valves.
