    Is there such a thing as letting your new saltwater mix to long before adding for a water change? Does it disapate the additives that are in the salt?

    As long as you keep it covered and put a power head in there for circulation it will be ok. I let water sit for months before I use it, I just keep it heated and circulating.

    Same as Otty...

    But I also add a airstone to stored mixed water. (or at least run one for day or so before using.)

    Make sure to get stored water up to tank temp before using.
