    Let your freshly mixed to sit and stirred for some time is always good, the water needs time to contact with open air. In case you worry about impurities from your tap water, use a 2-stage filter (primary+carbon) they should be good enough for most urban areas, RO water is good but you should pay attenetion on the hardness. If you use well water, then it is a different story...check the water's chemistry first.
