ok well my dads one job was to do water changes and monitor salinity. well after the flame angel died i checked the Specific Gravity and it was at 1.030!!!! really high. i instanlty brought it down to 1.028 that day but now im wondering how much should i lower the salinity per day if i want to get it down to 1.025 without stressing my inverts or fish or corals

I agree, go .001 per day and you will be fine.

I would also make sure that number is accurate. Get it checked via refractometer or probe if you're using a hydrometer.
