    I have a friend in my local reef club who runs only T5's and has an SPS dominant tank as well as some really high end chalices and his tank is awesome....

    I have my SPS corals in the upper 1/3rd portion of my tank and they're doing fine! But since you're just getting into corals...like everyone else said, stick with the easy ones first and work your way up!

    You seem to have a basic understanding of what you're doing!!:)
