yup, lesson learned from me... the guy at the LFS told me (exact words) "you want to fill the tank initially with tap water, but use this declorinator and this stuff called stability"... in a way, i'm lucky i'm too broke to buy extra stuff for my aquarium, because he also told me that a UV sterilizer would help purify my tap water...i guess its my fault though, because when i buy something from him, i always ask "what do i need to keep this alive?", and i see dollar signs in his eyes... there was one time that he treated me right though... the first fish i was gonna buy was going to be a clown (ocellaris), but he told me, since it was my first fish, he'd rather me spend 5 dollars on several fish than 12 on one fish that probably wouldn't make it... so he gave me 7 small mollies... or maybe he sold those to me because he had so many of them (at least 3/4 of his tanks has mollies, including his 2 liverock tubs)... from fry, all the way up to 3 inches or so...

it seems like i should have learned my lesson about buying stuff that he recommends... because everytime i buy something from him, i find out that i don't even need it! now, i have a bottle of dechlorinator (i forget the exact name), stability, coral-vite, ammo-lock, and maybe a couple of other bottles that i don't need... stupid me!
