So i switched salt and did my bi-weekly water change of 20% and i tested my water parameters after 2 days, and i have a whooping low dKH of 5 and my calcium is through the roof at 700!! ph is at 7.8.. if i want to bring my dKH back up and bring up my PH as well, if i want to go with the baked baking soda method, does anyone have any experience with that?

I use AquaVitro Balance (AquaVitro is Seachem's Premium line) which works great at raising PH but it wont raise your alk.

i'm gonna bet your magnesium is way out of wack too.

get a kit and test the magnesium, having the correct levels will stabalize both your PH and Calcium levels, but you need to know where its at so recommendations can be made.

Doublecheck your salinity too, especially after the water changes, maybe something wasn't quite what you thought it was. Also, no need to wait 2 days to test, I test within an hour of my water changes and make adjustments if I need to after that.
