    Hey everyone - I have been in the hobby for a bit but could always use a few tips and tricks when it comes to getting my water chemistry just right. If you have any recommendations for raising or lowering PH, Hardness, etc. Post em up!8)

    water changes, use decent salt, test water. And do this reguarly and your water can be pretty good. I use ph and coral buffer, mag, cal, stro, iodine.

    I use the 2 part(recipe 1) from bulk reef supply for my mag,alk,cal.

    I have a big problem keeping my PH at 8.2ish... Usually at like 7.8 or 7.9... Kinda driving me nuts.

    That's why I went with recipe 1 as it increases ph.

    Im sorry - but I am not following you when you reference recipe 1. Where can I get some info on that?

    It's from bulkreefsupply.com, they sell bulk supplements and something called two part kits. The two parts being Ca and Alk, there's also Mg. One of the recipes raises your ph, while the other one, recipe #2, lowers your ph.
