RO/DI will give you that sparkle you see. Having a good protein skimmer and running good quality carbon should help a lot. If you dont have a sump system, its hard to get sparkling water like that.

Sump allows you to run the water through all kinds of media and also much better skimmers. In my case protein skimmer made HUGE difference in water clarity and the particles you're talking about. If i didnt have the shimmer from the metal halides, its hard to tell theres water in the tank.

If you are on a budjet i would recommend this $99

Its a RO unit but you can always add DI stage later

If you can afford it, i would recommend this $199
This has dual TDS meters, Pressure gauge and Flush vavle which are really useful

The unit will pay for iteself in a short amount of time. It will save you time, where you dont have to run to the store, load, unload your water, plus the gas and time wasted.

If you factor on everything that goes into buying water. It is more expensive to buy water from a store.

Do yourself a favor and get a float switch so that you dont flood your house. Trust me once you turn it on, you'll always forget :)
