depends on the type of substrate, with very fine sand it could take up to a day or two, but large grained sand or crushed coral probably in the morning it will be clear. feel ree to post more pics your tank looks nice.

bought the tank used, drilled it installed a 1500 gph overflow, 2 return lines set it up so if the power goes out will not get a flood in the living room. the water only raises 2 and 1/2 inchs in the sump.built the stand for it and have the canopy that i built in my garage right now need to add a few things to it before i set it in place. it has a 72 inch light with 5 t5 and 2 holagon lights with a row of moon lights. they will be on timers. the return pumps are 1,1250 gph and 1, 1056 gph. 2 m40s one on each side of the tank. thanks will post a pic after i put the canopy on. it has 150 lbs of live rock and 120 lbs of live sand

    canopy

i built the canopy, had a little problem setting up the opening on the front, mounted the light in it, put in 2 temp controled 4 inch cooling fans in the back. the light has a cooling fan built into them. all of the wireing goes through 2, 2 inch holes in the back it cost me around 60.00 to build. the stand cost me around 200. because it is finished with aspon wood. base is made of doubled up 2x4s and 1/2 in marine plywood, it is heavy. and i bought a 300gph protien skimmer and setup in the sump. satarted it up tonight and boy it dose kick.

Usually overnight depending on fineness of the sand, whether or not you rinsed it, running a protein skimmer, or using a filter sock.
