For any of you who have this skimmer. What water level do you have your skimmer in? I know it's recommended 6 to 10 inches of water, but what is the best depth for you? I'm making my own sump. So I want to know how deep I should make the skimmer chamber.

Sump-30 gal tank. Skimmer takes up 1/3 of space. Making a fuge in sump too.

Mine is just at 9 inches and it's sitting on a few pieces of egg crate.
