The directions that came with my AquaC EV 180 are really pretty weak. >:(

Where exactly should I be setting the water level when running? - Seems they are saying just at top of main (lower) chamber. Is this right. Picture in docs is just crappy.

Seems I have to do considerable "adjusting" of the gate valve to keep it there. (after 3 days running)

Is this just a matter of getting it broken in or have I missed something along the way? :-/

Nothing in tank yet but new water, so don't expect to see much "foaming." (critters/rock moving in this weekend)

Hey omard ive got the same one i run my water level anywhere from right above that inner platform to the lip of the reaction chamber. this varies due to the sump water level.
mine took almost 2weeks to break in so hang in there ;D
when it kicks in make sure youve got something to catch the over flow from the cup.
    heres mine:

The water level should be at least a 1/4" to 1/2" BELOW the inner air chamber (where the Aqua-C version of venturi valve shoots thru). You can use a flashlight to tell the level. That is the reason why they opted for a smoke acrylic as opposed to black. The venturi needs the space in order to function properly and it won't function to it's optimum capacity if otherwise. It will still operate at other levels but not to what it can really do. I've spoke to Jason (owener of Aqua-c) many times about this, this tidbit comes straight from the horses mouth.
