    i'm getting a Penguin 400 for my 29 gallon what should i get for flow? the penguin is rated for 400 gallons an hour do i need a 40X turnover in a fowlr

    Yes water flow is ideal and helps to mimic those conditions found in the oceans of the world. You may even want to go with more power in multiple powerheads to stir up the water movement even further.

    It turns it over pretty good. Fish love the currents, and all the corals are growing and doing well. I have roughly 40x turnover.

    why are you doing a powerfilter?? why not get a good skimmer and use a gravel vac???
