Speaking of the Koralia.... I didn't realize it's intent was to make the flow more diffuse. Now that I am looking at mine.... I have 2, but they both have little nozzle type things on the outlet. Yet my directions for them don't even show them. Is it better to run without these little nozzles snapped into the ends???

I have had a hard time figuring out my flow in the tank. My pump return splits into two, and I have the 2 Kors. It just seems difficult to get it right. Parts of the tank have low flow and dead spots and others it' too much. I guess I'll just keep experimenting.

The nozzle attachment for the koralias is to make the jet a little more narrow. Taking it off will make it wider.
It really just takes some playing with to get rid of the deadspots. Maybe you need a few more smaller koralia's? More of the smaller kind is better than fewer of the more powerful types, IMHO

I'm not actually sure what model I have. Bought an existing setup, but will look. I didn't even think to take them off though cause that is how they came.

I'll try it out tomorrow. I direct them at the return pump nozzles to get things stirred up. It is just difficult to get flow in the tank, and not too much clash and down wash on the various corals. This sounds like it might do the trick. Learn something new every day.

Those are the trick! but just a bit too expensive in my opinion, aren't pvc pipes thicker than power cords anyway?

So I gave taking the nozzles off my Kors today. Wow. They sure do throw a wide pattern. Actually, it's better with them on... for me. Tried a few different positions.... I know I have great flow, I just don't want anything getting beat down. Depending on how I move things, it seems that something gets in a direct path.

Right now things seem fine and everything is happy. Still have more to add, so I'm sure I will fool with it some more.

I'm going to try something different for a while. I'm going to plug my Kors into my light timer. I'll have one on during the day, and alternate to the other one at night. I won't have to worry about clashing flows and maybe my corals will appreciate the different directions.

    Any thoughts?

I have 2 Koralia 2's and have them both running all day until lights out..... where I have placed on the timer with my lights. That being said I only have a FOWLR setup so not sure on what impact on what it will have on corals. My fish seem like they appreciate the cease in water movement on one side of the tank though. I was thinking of adding at LEASET one more pointing to the back of the tank where some algae accumulates on the glass. My only concern is thats where most the fish retreat to at night, and plus with the two algae grazers i have ( Foxface - Tang ) a little algae for them is always a plus.
