Setting up new 125, what would be better for movement?

    1. closed loop with Ocean Motion super squirt all ports split into 2 outlets running on a reeflo baracuda.

    2. 1 or 2 center wave 2k's.

after pricing out everything for the closed loop with the price of ball valves and unions and the OM super squirt the cost would be the same as 2 wave 2k's.

I think I would go with the closed loop.

Idk I have never seen the 2k. it looks kinda neat, from their website.

personally I hated my closed loop. I would go with the wavemaker. That seems really cool..

I like my closed loop and OM Squirt but I dislike the power consumption. My two Koralia Evolution 1400's move well over twice the water for about 1/5 the power consumption, 6Wx2 and 2800 GPH for the Evos vs, 58 watts and 1000 GPH for the closed loop plus a little for the Squirt.
The cost of two Evo 1400's and a Reefkeeper Lite was less than $200 and the operating cost is much less with more versatility.
Its been so long I don't remember the cost of the OM Squirt, OR3500 pump and all the fittings and Loc Line but it was more than the above by far.
Yes the Evos take up room in the tank but so does the LocLines for the closed loop though not as noticable. 12w vs. 58+w helps keep the power bill down a little and produces less heat so less cooling is required too.

oh yeah, power consumption is a huge difference.

thanks for your input guys, im going to try out a tunze wave box, it has a smaller footprint than the wave 2k and seems to have less problems
