Water Parameters after Hurricane Off! Photos Included

I had a power outage for 25 hours. Lost a flame angel from the hurricane.
I just tested water parameters... two areas of concern:

Phosphate 1.0ppm (should be zero and was zero last week before storm)

DKH 12 up from 10 last week

I noticed my carpet anemone has shrunk since the outage... on thurs. to friday... and hasn't really fully opened... his mouth in the middle is gapping open but won't accept food.

    I have t5 lights (216watts running 8 hours)
it's tenticles are stinging so I guess that's good, right?
It isn't fully shut... but not nearly as good as before...

I am going to do a 15 gallon water change (20 percent)
Do you think that will help?

All other livestock as listed in my avatar below look great.

    thanks,
    Ryan

PS you can tell from the photos the before and after hurricane.... should I be concerned with the appearance??????

    nitrate 10ppm
    nitrite 0
    ammonia 0
    ph 8.2
    temp. 78
    salinity 1.023
    calcium above normal 600ppm

You need to test for Mg too, very important parameter. You get a generator yet??

    No, not yet.
I'm thinking about purchasing the deep blue category 5 air pump for 80 dollars...
it turns on automatically during a power failure for up to 28 hours... then goes to "d" batteries for an additional two days.

This on top of a gas powered generator should do the trick.
Waiting for prices on them to drop... looks like gouging going on here in the valley.

    Don't have the mg test...
do you think the water change will lower the phosphate? 1.0ppm may be affecting the carpet anemone... what do you think:?????

It will lower it by just diluting it. You need to find the cause. You feed frozen food?

YES... but only to the anemone...
Just bought it last week on Monday.
I haven't been able to hand fed it with melted frozen food syringed to its mouth.

Do you think the stagnate water for 25 hours rose the phosphate or perhaps the dead flame angel... i pulled it out pretty quickly though....

What water are you using for water changes? Tap, RODI, LFS water? Test you source water (before adding salt mix) for phosphates to see if there are any in your water supply.

    I did that...
    there are none present...
This problem came about after the 25 hours without electricity...

Hoping the 15 gallon (20 percent) water change will bring it back to zero...

Curious what other people think about the carpet anemone's behavior...
should i be concerned if it's still stinging... but not eating...
