Early on in a new tank I check weekly. After about a year or so when everything levels out and I better understand my tank I drop it to roughly monthly or when something seems off.

every other day during the cycle, then I go to once a week unless I notice something is off in the tank.

About once per month unless something seems "off". Then I test and correct if needed.

    In my established tank

I test Calcium and Alkalinity weekly, to make sure my dosing is keeping up with demand as my corals grow ( and to be honest to make sure my doser has been behaving itself )

I test Mag monthly, as I keep it close to 1450 and it lowers very, very slowly

I stopped testing phosphate, because I assume it is present and run GFO and change it monthly ( when I eventually get the Hannah checker I will probably test again to see )
I would test phosphate again if I noticed an increase in algae

I would only test Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate now, if things do not seem right

I test SG weekly prior to water change and also test new water as I have made it

I can monitor PH on a daily basis with my PH probe and monitor (permenent resident)

I can monitor temperature on a daily basis using the visible read out from my chiller
