    Hello all
Im currentlly in 10th days cycling with live rocks , i have add 2clown fish and a half purple half yellow fish ( i dont know the name) they have been doin well eating well , but they are always in hiding , i notice everytime i want to clean the skimmer i turn off the pump and skimmer , suddenlly the purple n yellow fish began to be a bit more active and exploring around, my water pump is hanging in the sump without touching any ground , it creates a big buzzing sound , is the sound irritating the fish ? Or its the wave that makes the fish foes into hiding?or something like this normal for the fish behaviour?
Thank youuu i hope i can get answer to these :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like a Royal Gramma, they can tend to be quite skittish initially and may take several weeks to months to feel comfortable.

As far as vibration or sound of the pump, I imagine that after awhile it can be a stressor to fish and inverts, especially more sensitive fish such as RG and Dartfish.

Can you place padding underneath it or around it.

Lately the fish my becoming out because they see you and associate you with food and or they enjoy your company.

I have 2 Odyssea 700gph pumps in my sump and they are quiet. What brand is your pump and what gph is it rated at?

Also, watch you're tank parameters. You're adding the fish too quickly. You really shouldn't have any at this point.

Agree, but also I would recommend testing the pump and check for stray current. If there is something wrong with the pump, loose housing, etc..., going too close may be a "shocking" experience for some fish. Just good to rule out.

they may be stressed from being in a tank that isn't done cycling. Do you still have ammonia. If your cycle is finished it is fine but I would certainly check on that
