Water Quality Floating or Bubbles?

    I am not really sure i have a 55 gallon bowfront with a berlin sump...All of a sudden it looks like material in the water floating...It may be bubbles but i am not sure...?? Any ideas.

    Is it like an oily film? If so, do you run a surface skimmer? Is your tank pre-drilled or do you use an overflow box?
