Water Still Cloudy

    So I've started up saltwater aquariums in the past and cloudy water at first is almost always going to happen. However my most recent aquarium that I started about 12 hours ago is still cloudy! In the past the water has cleared up for me pretty quicky but not this time.

    Should I turn the hang on filter off for a while to calm the water? Do I just need to chill? What do you all think?

    A filter wouldnt hurt. When I did my 29g I used a little finer sand for part of it & i wanna say it took probably about 2-3 days to settle down completely.

    Fine Reef Sand that I rinsed off prior to adding it to the tank.
