I have a very easy question, and probably a stupid one, too.....lol. I just filled up my 90 with water and the temperature was holding steady at 77.6 degrees. Yesterday I had the lights on (gotta enjoy the rocks!) and the temperature rose to 79 degrees by the end of the day. Is that a problem? Or is that not a large enough rise to bother fish? Because then at night when the lights go off, the temp will drop again...

    Thank you! (and karma, too!)

that is fine... some people like it to be perfectly the same but mine goes form 77.5 to almost 80 every day and my corals are perfectly fine and my fish are good!

Okay, thank you!! I wasn't sure how sensitive fish were to temp fluctuations.

not very sensitive at all... ive heard of wholesalers who dont even run heaters in their holding tanks, they have pretty big swings for day and night

My temp is controlled by the controller on the tank and fans. It swings by about 2 degrees during the day. Fans pretty much stay on all evening while the halides are on.
